Dining and Design in Downtown Charlotte

While in Charlotte we made time to check out the beautiful Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in downtown (www.bechtler.org) The museum is less than three years old, but already the collection has made the museum a national treasure. collection and the museum so unique, read more in this great Washington Post article In addition to the wonderful pieces from the collection we enjoyed current exhibits of Picasso – ceramics and prints - and Alberto Giacometti’s “Memory and Presence,” the largest show the museum has mounted, showing sculpture, paintings and drawings. Downtown Charlotte is really thriving – we had a wonderful meal at 5 Church - fantastic food and great lighting…
