NBK Residence by Bernard Khoury – Beirut.

N.B.K Residence, home and project of well-known Lebanese architect Bernard Khoury, is proof that the city of Beirut continues to be part of the global design map.

Sitting in the Green Line – where the West/ Muslim and East/ Christian areas of the city intersect - the project is a collaboration with local artisans and design experts and the culmination of the architect’s experience and constant need for experimentation.

The 4,000 square foot, three-floor structure combines the strong presence of wood complimented with dramatic black steelwork. The property features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, swimming pool and the roof garden on the topmost level. An extraordinary structure at the living room ceiling housing the HVAC system and a floor to ceiling library create interior highlights. The dominating features of the exterior are two unique antenna-lights on top of the building, which have become a landmark of the area.
