Sally Thomas Cooper

Owner / President Sales and Marketing

A multi-talented artist and successful entrepreneur, Sally Thomas Cooper studied art history, music, and design in her native New Zealand, leading initially to work in film and television and then to residential interior design.

When Sally was offered a production design project based in Hollywood, she leapt at the chance and moved to Los Angeles in 1999, where she quickly developed an impressive celebrity clientele as an interior designer and worked directly with select lines of textiles, furniture and lighting. Sally also served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the nationally branded case goods manufacturer Indon International working on such projects as the 3000 room Las Vegas Hilton and other notable hotels and resort projects throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

Having worked in both the high end residential and hospitality markets, Sally saw a wonderful opportunity to pair the large scale public space designs of hotel and casino projects with the luxurious materials and finishes of her residential projects. Sally founded Lusive, importing European lighting and accessories and presently began using her combined knowledge of imported one-of-a-kind materials and design techniques to create made-to-order, signature lighting fixtures. Lusive was an immediate success and Sally’s solid sales strategy has grown the company year after year, being named 3 consecutive years to Inc. Magazine’s nationwide list of top growing companies.

Today Lusive has one of the most extensive lists of vendors in the industry and the ability to source nearly any decorative material. With strong personal industry relationships and a creative sales and marketing strategy, Sally continues to build Lusive into one of the top brands in custom decorative lighting.

With all of her design expertise, Sally’s primary commitment has always been to the relationships you build in this exciting and challenging industry. Energized by the marriage of creative design and commercial production, Sally says, “I am fascinated by the mix of personalities and talents that make up a successful collaboration – satisfying form and function, imagination and inspiration.”
